Solutions with impact
In 2016 Amadeus further built on our past success by continuing to turn operational performance into financial success, delivering growth in revenues, profits and cash flow. Our IT Solutions enabled airlines to board more than 1.3 billion passengers in 2016 and our distribution business model continues to deliver efficient solutions for travellers, providers, and travel agencies.
We are continuing to invest in our platforms, ensuring that they are capable of delivering the flexible shopping experience demanded by modern travellers. By the end of 2016, two-thirds of air bookings processed through Amadeus were capable of carrying an attached ancillary service, and 120 airlines had contracted Amadeus Airline Ancillary Services for the indirect channel.
We are expanding into new business areas with the integration of our 2015 acquisitions in areas such as airports and hospitality. We’ve also continued to move forward in areas such as Payments and Travel Intelligence.

Amadeus remained, for the fifth consecutive year, a member of the Dow Jones Sustainability Index; was included in CDP’s Climate A List for leadership in the fight against climate change; and, for the first time, was included in Corporate Knights’ Global 100 Most Sustainable Corporations in the world.
Look to the future
Beyond formal compliance with the quality and quantity of information expected from a company like Amadeus, the production process of the Amadeus Global Report 2016 provides us with a broadened perspective to reflect on the challenges we have faced in the year, and with an opportunity to adapt and improve our approach to these challenges.
